Flower of the Week

This week the flower is:

Amaranthus
 

Amaranthus is a unique flower than comes in red, magenta, and green. The flowers can be hanging (pictured above) or upright (pictured below). It is used as a line flower to give an arrangement form. Amaranthus is also known as Cat’s Tail. We designed the flowers for a wedding this weekend at Hobb’s Farm in Loudon, TN. We used green hanging amaranthus in the centerpieces, sprays, and bridal bouquet. Amaranthus means immortatlity, unfading love, and pretension.
