This week’s flower may look more like a weed to you, but it provides wonderful texture and unusual color to arrangements.
Eryngium
The more common name for this flower is blue thistle or sea holly. The variety pictued is the standard small size, but there is also giant blue thistle available and it is gorgeous! Thistle grows on hollow stems that branch out at the top. There are usually anywhere from 5 to 10 flowers on each stem. Thistle would be an unusual choice for a bridal bouquet, but as I mentioned before it can add such great texture!
